歷經(jīng)苦難的高爾基曾說(shuō)過(guò)：“書(shū)籍使我變成了一個(gè)幸福的人。”我們又何嘗不是呢？讀書(shū)帶給我們最雋永的樂(lè)趣，最恒久的動(dòng)力；讀書(shū)帶給我們心靈的和平，精神的慰籍。朋友可能離去，書(shū)卻是最忠誠(chéng)的伙伴，時(shí)光不斷流逝，閱讀卻讓我們永葆青春！不僅如此，讀書(shū)使我們逐步建立起和古今中外偉大作家之間的交流，依他們的指引，歷史的大門(mén)為我們洞開(kāi)，未來(lái)為我們展現(xiàn)理想的藍(lán)圖。有人說(shuō)：“讀書(shū)足以怡情，足以博彩，足以長(zhǎng)才”使人開(kāi)茅塞，得新知，養(yǎng)性靈。因?yàn)闀?shū)中有著廣闊的世界，書(shū)中有著永世不朽的精神，雖然滄海桑田，物換星移，但書(shū)籍永遠(yuǎn)是新的。所以，熱愛(ài)讀書(shū)吧！讓讀書(shū)成為我們的習(xí)慣。在哈佛大學(xué)圖書(shū)館里有這樣一則標(biāo)語(yǔ) “此刻打盹,你將做夢(mèng)；此刻讀書(shū),你將圓夢(mèng)。”由此不難看出讀書(shū)求知對(duì)于一個(gè)人生命的意義了。

聽(tīng)到一陣“嗖嗖”的響聲，我本能地抬起頭來(lái)一看，只見(jiàn)不遠(yuǎn)處的垃圾桶旁，有一個(gè)小伙子把身體彎成c字形，頭探到垃圾入口處往里看，在桶內(nèi)翻動(dòng)著垃圾。由于是第一次看到年輕人拾荒，我多留意了他幾眼：已經(jīng)裂開(kāi)底部的皮鞋、磨出兩個(gè)大白印的西褲、污跡斑斑的淺藍(lán)色襯衣毫無(wú)保留地把他的艱難生存狀況展現(xiàn)了出來(lái)。他背著一個(gè)旅行包，盡管它又舊又臟，但我仍然可以由此想象到，那些大大小小的格子曾經(jīng)裝滿了各種各樣美好的夢(mèng)想，和每一個(gè)從農(nóng)村來(lái)到城市里的年輕人一樣。也許，此時(shí)經(jīng)歷了很多也失去了很多的他，還未曾放棄過(guò)他的夢(mèng)想。是的，他有勇氣提起裝廢品的袋子而不是拿起兇器，他把手伸進(jìn)垃圾桶而不是伸進(jìn)行人的口袋，他就是值得尊重的。

我有理由相信，生活的希望之火一直燃燒在他的心里，不然的話，他可能在剩下一張車票錢(qián)的時(shí)候就已離開(kāi)這個(gè)城市，也可能像很多脆弱的年輕人那樣永遠(yuǎn)地向困難認(rèn)輸了，甚至可能帶著被扭曲的心理走向犯罪之路。所以，這個(gè)年輕人在拾荒，就說(shuō)明他遇到了不可避免的困難時(shí)，沒(méi)有退縮，沒(méi)有放棄，也沒(méi)有怨恨命運(yùn)的不公，而是選擇了面對(duì)。他一定很堅(jiān)強(qiáng)，我想。果然，在他把一個(gè)礦泉水瓶放進(jìn)袋子，轉(zhuǎn)過(guò)身來(lái)的時(shí)候，我看到了他的臉，黝黑中透著一股剛毅。一瞬間，我的心底升起了一絲敬意，看著他遠(yuǎn)去的背影，我默默地把祝福送給他。

i love english. english language is now used everywhere in the world. it has become the most common language on internet and for international trade. learning english makes me confident and brings me great pleasure.

everyday, i read english following the tapes. sometimes, i watch english cartoons.
