my competition speech

ladies and gentleman:

good afternoon,everyone

thank you for coming to this election campaign today. with the trust and complete support of my team, i am delighted to announce that i am running for chairwoman of the students union.

as we all know, the purpose of students union in our university is for students and serves students. i guess everyone in our university wants to have friendly social circles, e_quisite campus, various students’ activities and interesting games. they are nice wishes that belong to

students, and formidable duties that are taken over by the students union. but in achieving all these above, we have to establish a strong team in students union to organize, as i can see, and you are eager to take part in the sea of joy. students union is actually a powerful organization for what they do for the convenience of every student in our university, which has set an e_cellent e_ample for other students’ organizations and prevails in the competition with them. but we all should notice that, in order to keep its vitality and energy, the students union needs an awesome president as a leader to plan, to arrange, to organize and to supervise every detail of tasks, games and activities, and he would be on duty from the second he is selected by you, sensible and wise student.

having e_perienced two years in students union, i have become mature and seasoned enough to continue in the more and more severe challenges no matter how difficult it is. as a diligent woman with pleasant personality, i have been always considered to be a good team member. meanwhile, as a big fan of sports, i fully realize the importance of teamwork and advocate the spirit of being quicker and stronger. i possess strong determination to take firm steps toward achieving the objectives of my team. in addition, my working e_perience with the student union in the past two years will be e_tremely helpful to my future work here if i get elected.

what’s more, i am always a responsible woman whatever the situation is. my sense of responsibility has shown in my work, and could be also proved by my prize for my contribution that i have made during the period in students union. if you are in hesitation to select a good

president, do not omit me as long as you remember me and my previous performance. no one has given his heart and soul to students union more than i have. unhappily, sometimes you might be blinded by those people who want to grab your trust by speaking sugared words. but i am not a liar, and to lie is not my style. you can trust me, and i would testify my responsibility and carefulness in the days that follow. a sign of a really strong organization is that it can change its leadership without hindering its progress and without damaging its values. if i am elected, i believe i

have the ability to lead the union to advance in the right direction. i will cooperate well with my fellow members of the union and take innovative measures, including establishing a student-information center, forming a teacher-student-friendship association, to make the union a true assistance to students' study and life here as well as a bridge of communication between teachers and students.

i wish you could give me a chance to lead students union and create more wonders for you. i wish you could make a right decision.

since i came to the college, i have been holding positions of class and youth league union. i also have done some pragmatic work for the university and our schoolmates. during the communication with our schoolmates, i feel it deep that the cohesion of a unit lies in a developing and advancing collective, while the strength for it comes from sincerity, understanding and contributions. as a leader of student, one should have a firm belief with sacrifice. as a leader of student, one should be willing to make up the gap between man and man, idea and reality with his fierce feelings. as a leader of student, one should not be selfish. what he seeks for is to work hard and give himself up to the service.

i, as one of the thousands of students of economy college, am proud of it. i would be more willing to take up the duty belonging to me. this is my initial hope. this is why i am standing here today.

i remember one candidate himself said loudly, 'should i leave the position quietly or be bold to stay?' during the last competition for student union. as a result, he was bold to stay for the position. to day, i would like to let everyone know that i hope that i will be kept for the position. even though i fail, i won't leave quietly and angrily out of spite because i am a member of economy college, and because my roots are in the mei campus.

no mater where i go, mei campus always stays with me and my deep feelings to it always keeps in me. i would like to work heart and soul, for my love of mei campus. i earnestly hope to contribute my feelings and fervently hope to share the happiness and be concerned about the worries with every one of mei campus.

進校以來，我一直擔任班級團干部的職務，也做了一些實實在在的工作。在和同學們的交往中有一個深刻的感受，那就是：一個集體的騰飛，來源于其內在的凝聚力，而造就這種力量的基石是：真誠、理解與付出。作為學生會干部，就要有燃燒自己的信念，用熾熱的情感去填平人與人、理解與現實之間的溝壑，不為謀求些什么，只求能夠付出自己的一分熱忱與努力......。

作為經院八百莘莘學子中的一員，我為自己是經院人而自豪，也更愿承擔屬于自己的那份責任，這，就是今天我站在這里的初衷。

記得上屆學生會競選的時候，有位候選人曾經響亮地問自己：'我是該安靜地走開，還是勇敢地留下來?'結果，他勇敢地留下來了。今天，我想告訴大家的是：我真誠地希望自己也能夠留下來。即使面對失敗的苦澀，也不會負氣'安靜地走開'，因為，我是經院人，我的根在梅園!

走遍山山水水，梅香依舊，深情依舊。為了曾經擁有過的一份眷戀，我愿灑一把熱汗，濺一腔真誠，樂經院人之樂，憂經院人之憂!
